This festive libation pays homage to the first owner of Colony Palms Hotel, Al Wertheimer, a reputed mobster of the Purple Palm Gang. The cocktail gets its name from the beautiful purple color from the muddled grapes and pinot noir finish. Mix it up and drink like it’s 1936.
 
PURPLE GANG RECIPE
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 5 muddled grapes
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz st.-germain
  • Shake, double strained into martini glass
  • Top off with pinot noir
